Welcome and thank you for your interest in Judith E. Horowitz, Ph.D. A licensed psychologist, Dr. Horowitz has been in private practice in Broward County, Florida since 1982. Judith received her Baccalaurerate Degree, Masters Degree, and Doctoral Degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. She is licensed by the State of Florida, Florida Department of Health, Medical Qualtity Assurance. Dr. Horowitz is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and is a certified Sexual Therapist and Diplomate of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). Judith is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists and Psychodiagnosticians (ABMPP).
As an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) since 1994, Dr. Horowitz was instrumental in developing the Mentoring Committee of the Mental Health Professional Group (MHPG) and served as its Chair. Judith also served on the MHPG Membership Committee, as well as the ASRM Membership Committee, and was appointed to the Steering Committee for Funding Development of the ASRM. Additionally, Judith served on the Professional Group of the ASRM for the Revision of Psychological Guidelines for the Assessment of Oocyte Donors and Oocyte Recipients. Moreover, Judith served on the Task Force for the Initiation of a Gamete Donor Registry.
Dr. Horowitz is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Florida Psychological Association (FPA), and the Broward County Psychological Association (BCPA). Judith is also a member of the American Fertility Association (AFA), and fertile Hope. Dr. Horowitz graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and was elected to Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi, and Pi Lambda Theta honorary societies.
Judith is the lead author of Ethical Dilemmas in Fertility Counseling published by APA Books in 2010. Her book provides a template for resolving ethical dilemmas in fertility counseling. Judith is a contributing author to the book Reproductive Health and Cancer in Young Adults to be published by Springer in 2012.
